LONG TIME GONE: Â Hell or High Water Book 2
When a tornado meets a volcano, nothing is safe.
Soldier of fortune Prophet Drews always worked alone—until Tom Boudreaux became his partner. But when Tom walked away three months ago, ostensibly to keep Prophet safe, Prophet learned the true meaning ofbeing alone. Everyone knows that Prophet, a Navy SEAL turned CIA spook turned mercenary, can look after himself. Which means he must’ve driven his lover away.
Even with half a world between them, Prophet can’t get the man out of his head. Maybe that’s why he’s in New Orleans in the middle of a hurricane, protecting Tom’s aunt. But the only looter around is Tom, bursting back into Prophet’s life. It turns out that Prophet’s been stuck in Tom’s head—and heart—too.
Their explosive reunion gets even hotter when Tom is arrested for murder. As they fight to clear his name, they delve deep into his past, finding enemies among everyone they meet. Staying alive in such a dangerous world is hard enough, but they soon discover that fighting to stay together is the most difficult thing they’ve ever done.

BOUND TO BREAK (book 6 in the Men of Honor Series) – coming early December 2013!
Four men fighting against their pasts…and for each other.
Several years after washing up on a beach in South Africa with absolutely no memory—not even his name—Lucky would rather not remember his past. Based on the number of scars on his body, it couldn’t have been anything good.
Then a man claiming to be his former Navy SEAL teammate walks into the bar and insists that Lucky’s real name is Josiah Joshua Kent. Turns out he’s been listed as KIA, and since he’s not dead, he’s now AWOL—and under suspicion.
Discovering Josh is alive throws Rex, and his relationship with Sawyer, into a tailspin. Rex can finally lay to rest the nightmares of the night he couldn’t save his teammate. And Sawyer is faced with his worst nightmare—a relationship threatened by a very real ghost from the past.
As Josh begins to piece his memories back together, another man with a shadowy connection to his past—and maybe his heart—holds the key that could free him. Or send him to a traitor’s fate.

But only for a short time and I will rekindle them!
Okay, look, I know some of you are going to chase me down with pitchforks and daggers, to which I will say, it’s not my fault.
Well, it’s kind of my fault, kind of not but nothing’s really a fault, and in the end, it’s going to be a really excellent thing for us, and I don’t mean the royal us, but rather the collective us.
First, the excellent news that won’t crush your hopes and dreams – Riptide Publishing has contracted all four of the Prophet books, plus two shorts for Prophet and Tommy. They are a wonderful publishing company and you all know I’ve worked with Sarah Frantz on other projects. She will also be my editor at Riptide!
She fell in love with Prophet too. She might be more in love with Mal at this point (and since I just wrote five pages of Mal for a book that won’t see the light of day forever, I guess it’s catching)
Now’s the crushing hopes and dreams part. That release date for Catch A Ghost? It’s changing.
OMG I KNOW I WANTED IT OUT RIGHT NOW TOO.
The book is done in draft form. If I’d pushed ahead without pubbing with Ripdtide it would’ve come out in April sometime (because there is cover and blog tour all set up and everything…)
But..BUT after talking with Sarah and Rachel, it was decided that it would be awesome if we could put out the first two books close together. Â As in, book 1, September 9th and book 2, October 28th.
(And you still get Men of Honor #6 out in December so that’s like three in a row, people!)
So it’s like, yes, hopes and dreams crushed for now. But what hasn’t changed are the books promised to you for 2013 – you were always getting book 2 in the Fall. And then the next two, plus two shorts, will all come out between January 2014 and October 2014. So you’re actually getting more than I’d planned, because Riptide is sneaky and wonderfully evil that way.
And yes, I would’ve told you all sooner but there were things to hammer out and contracts and people involved who had to work all sorts of things out.  So I’m totally thrilled and want to thank all of you for the excitement you’ve shown for Prophet along the way 🙂

Faux Reality Entertainment (an awesome site for Real Housewives news / investigations, etc) reviewed Bound For Keeps – here’s a highlight:Â
The sign of an exceptional love story is one where true romance transcends gender and convention. SE Jakes delivers such a story, a  story that allows highly skilled warriors the freedom to heal each other while battling the dark side as a united front.
YAY!!! Â Read the full review here!!!
And then, the lovely Faux Media got the review some amazing retweets from Lauren Foster (@TheLaurenFoster )Â and Jamie Laurita (@chefjmlaurita)! Â And then I almost hyperventilated. Â Because Lauren was like OMGÂ and then Jamie? Â I adore Real Housewives of New Jersey and I wanted to babble something like, omg I watched your wedding on TV and I was crying and…
But I restrained myself. Â I did, however, tell him I liked his tattoos, because HELLO!!!
So follow Faux Reality on their website and on Twitter (@FauxRealityEnt)! Â

So, I was asked to join a yahoo loop with an awesome group of m/m authors (and plenty of other m/m authors drop by!) – it’s mainly for stories that are m/m BDSM based. Â So think, my Men of Honor series, but I guess in all my books there’s some element of it, although typically not formally.
It’s a very fun, welcoming group and it’s just in the beginning stages. It’s for both readers (cause we love you) and authors (published or unpublished – we’ve already had some authors asking questions and there’s plenty of great experience among the authors who are very helpful on all things BDSM-related). Â We’re trying to keep ourselves on a bit of a schedule, so on weekends you’ll be getting excerpts from upcoming and in progress books, Mondays, we’ll talk about new releases, etc. Â There will also be giveaways, which are always fun! So come on and join, lurk around for a bit if you’re more comfortable that way and if not, introduce yourself, readers and authors alike! Â I was going to say that no one will bite, but hey, you never know…;)
Click here to join the group! (The actual URL is https://groups.yahoo.com/group/mmbdsm/)
This group is comprised of authors who write MMBDSM books and readers who enjoy them!
Our founding authors are: Fyn Alexander, JP Barnaby, Kay Berrisford, James Buchanan, CB Conwy, Jane Davitt, Jeff Erno, SE Jakes, DC Juris, Elizabeth Lister, Ava March, Sean Michael, JA Rock, Jaime Samms, and Lex Valentine.
There are some awesome excerpts up from WIPs if you scroll back. Â I’m going through Bound For Keeps to find an excerpt to post there today!

So I spoke with my Samhain editor last week and Bound To Break, book 6 of the Men of Honor series is a go! Â Most likely it will come out the beginning of December of this year, and it’s Rex and Sawyer’s story. Â With a twist.
And no, I won’t tell you what that twist is. Â Yet. Â But in order to write the proposal, I had to revisit Bound By Honor. Â Of all my books, that’s the one I reread the most, Â and there’s one line in particular that makes me laugh every time I read it or think about it. Â It’s in this excerpt: Â
It was gray and cold and pretty damned deserted on the streets because all the smart people were staying inside. Which LC told Paulo, who just scoffed as he pulled the truck into the twenty-four-hour diner.
He followed the detective inside, wondering how to end all this personal-connection shit. Then again, he didn’t want to spend the meal talking about the damned case.
He cursed Damon a million times in his mind and would do so to his friend’s face when he got back to the club.
“What’s LC short for?” Paulo asked after they’d settled into the booth, menus in front of them.
“My name,” LC said, without taking his eyes from the menu.
Paulo snorted. “And everyone thinks Damon’s the asshole.”
“I definitely do,” he muttered and that effectively shut down the conversation for the next few minutes.
But Paulo was a cop. Used to interrogation. Fortunately, LC had been taught to evade and escape such things.
“You’re Irish and Italian. Your parents must’ve had a good fight about your name, huh?” he asked in a direct parody of Paulo’s question.
Paulo just stared at him with those ice-blue eyes. “Something like that.”
“Cops don’t like questions.”
“Not just cops. Anyone who’s trying to hide something,” Paulo said, his tone mild, like he was enjoying the spar…especially because he knew he was winning, each of his statements zinging into LC as surely as if he had a target painted on his forehead.
He hated being this transparent. Usually, nobody gave a shit beyond letting themselves be fucked. Why did he have to find the one freakin’ man who wanted more?
“I’m here, aren’t I?” he asked with an exaggerated exasperation.
“Act like I’m holding you hostage a little more,” Paulo said. “Although, maybe that’s what you’re into.”
A sudden flash of Paulo holding him down, handcuffing him, fucking him, ran through LC’s mind and his cock hardened in his jeans. He shifted and Paulo grinned like he knew and LC couldn’t hate him any more than he did at that moment.
