RUNNING BLIND: Havoc MC Book 2 (releases 9/24!)
An ATF agent who lives for danger finds what he craves from an outlaw biker.
It’s impossible for a one-percenter motorcycle club member to simply walk away—and no one knows that better than undercover agent Bram, who’s almost killed for trying. His cover isn’t blown—yet—but it’s only a matter of time. The Heathens won’t be satisfied until he’s dead, so he decides to lay low and heal.
But when his younger brother’s disappearance throws a wrench into his plan, Bram ends up in Shades Run, a town ruled by the notorious Havoc MC. In less than twenty-four hours, Bram finds himself at the mercy of Sweet, Havoc’s president, as he throws himself into the undercover role of a lifetime: himself. A man who’s never belonged anywhere, and who will do anything to protect his younger brother.
When finding Linc seems impossible, Bram is torn between Sweet, Linc, and revealing his true identities . . . and there appears to be no way out. Once again, he risks it all trying to save it all. Only this time he’s got no backup to save him if he falls.

So, I own this shirt:
And I was wearing it the other day when I went outside to…
Wait, WTF was I doing outside? Rarely happens. Anyway, must’ve been a compelling reason, like an Amazon box gone astray. And I saw one of my neighbors while wearing my shirt.
Neighbor: Do you wear that T-shirt around your son?
Me: Yes. He’s having trouble sounding out assassin.
Neighbor: *frowns* Do you think that sends the right message?
Me: It’s fine. It’s not like he knows I have them.
Neighbor: *blinks*
Me: Have a great day!
Zoo: We’re definitely not getting invited to the mid-winter party.
Me: That’s just another perk!

Hey everyone! The holiday time was crazy, and that’s when I got back my rights to TIES THAT BIND: Men of Honor Book 3 (altho technically this is more of a novella at 40K, the shortest of all the MOH books). It’s also completely standalone, and, for the first time, it’s available in paperback!
If you’ve already got the earlier edition, there’s no need to rebuy (unless you want the new, pretty covers OR if you want a print version 🙂
TIES THAT BIND
Can two men let go of the past in order to find their future together?
When helo pilot Glen Rhodes flies Navy SEALs into the most dangerous places on earth, he has nerves of steel. Since his trusted Dom’s death three years ago, though, the thought of submitting makes him panic.
Determined to move on and long past ready to release the adrenaline rush from his job, Glen returns to home ground—and to the bar he hasn’t had the heart to enter for three long years. There, he meets a man who seems to fit naturally into the void.
Derek Mann has suffered his own losses, and he isn’t looking for permanent. Easy conquests don’t interest him, either. One look at Glen’s proud military bearing and sad eyes tells him that he has a challenge on his hands. And that winning Glen’s trust will unleash something wild and beautiful.
The plan is to tread lightly. But from the first touch of skin on skin, there’s no holding back…except when it comes to their deepest emotions. A Christmas Eve crisis pushes them both to their limits, leaving them no choice but to let go of the past…or let it pull them apart.
I’ve also updated the book pages and the Up Next pages with any release dates I have at this point, and I’m working on other things that haven’t been added to the schedule as of yet. Thanks again for all your patience!

THIRDS: Inked, Book 2
For Aleks, the third time wasn’t the charm…and fighting for survival was only the beginning…
Aleks is a tattoo artist at Inked. He’s also a man with a troubled history and a future bent on vengeance. But his plans for revenge are derailed when he meets a man with ties to his past. A man who also holds a promise of the future.
Brogan is dangerous for Aleks in more ways than one. He’s former military, a successful businessman and a strong hand in the bedroom—everything Aleks wants, under the worst possible circumstances. It’s up to Aleks to figure out what—and who—is worth fighting for.
Many of you have also asked if HOLD THE LINE: Inked 1 would be available in print, and the answer is yes, in October. I’ll let you all know as soon as it’s ready. I’m also working on putting the Mirror Series into print as well. Speaking of, if you haven’t met Jacoby yet, you need to!
Also, check out the NEWS page to see the new audio releases I have (and some hot new Japanese translations of Prophet and Tommy!)

Okay, so I’ve gotten my rights back from Samhain for the 1st two Bound books (or Men of Honor books – I call them both!): BOUND BY HONOR and BOUND BY LAW As my rights revert, I’ll get them all back (eventually!)
So…since I asked for notice from Samhain and got none (never miss an opportunity to do the wrong thing!), my books were pulled without my knowledge. It should be about 48 hours before they repopulate everywhere (they’re already live at All About Romance and Smashwords, pending at Amazon and B&N) but there are two things to note:
First, they have new covers. But they are the same book (save for cover and interior formatting.
Second, the prices have changed. For now, Bound By Honor is $2.99 and Bound By Law is 3.99. I think these prices are slightly lower than they were and are subject to change again at any time. So it might be a good time to grab them 🙂

Hey everyone!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve been here, and I sincerely apologize for that. I’m finally, really and truly beginning to catch up on things, after forcing life to give me a bit of a breather.
Anyway, as I’ve been doing for the past year plus, I’ve been putting out books that were near to ready, which is why you’re still waiting for Proph’s book, etc. I’ve gotten lots of (lovely!) emails wondering if that book will ever come out (short answer: yes) and asking if I’m doing more Steph Tyler than SE Jakes (not really). It seems that way, although really, I’ve done two SE Jakes books and one Tyler in 2015. They just weren’t the two SEJ books you guys are waiting for.
One was Rule of Thirds (the third book in this Mirror series comes out this September, fyi). The other is Book 4 in the Defiance Series: Temperance. Both are m/m. Temperance is part of a m/f series, but I did try to write it as standalone as I could. You can find out more about it here. Although I put up Amazon links mainly, all my books are available everywhere in eFormat. You can find full links on www.StephanieTyler.com.
Anyway, long story longer, today I’ve put out a Steph Tyler book, an m/f called Shelter Me. It’s the first book in a trilogy. You can check out the blurb if you read m/f and / or pass it along to friends who read m/f if you don’t. Click on the link right below to check out an excerpt and find all the order links.
SHELTER ME: A Shelter Novel, Book 1
There are ghosts in my past—ghosts I can’t recognize.
My painting heals me, but Lucas Caine has made me come alive. My past could take both those things away forever. What started out as an undeniable need to create was quickly turning into danger as my longing for memories fed the rough canvases I filled.
Falling for Lucas will force me to revisit my lost memories—and possibly lose myself, my art, and him in the process. And now he has me skating the thin edge between desire and fear as I use a past I don’t remember to leverage a future I’m not sure I want.
Also, you’ve probably already gotten a newsletter about this book–since I’m doing a new Steph Tyler site, I combined the mailing lists. There’s an option on this one newsletter that you can check if you only want news from SEJ, only from Tyler, or from both. So if you checked unsubscribe from either Tyler or SEJ, you won’t get newsletters from that particular name from this point onward.
Next up for me is finishing up If I Ever (I KNOW!) and Running Blind. I have to be able to give them everything I’ve got, especially Prophet. I didn’t want to attempt to finish the book with anything less than the best headspace I could get into. But finally, the ghosts of Proph and Tommy and Mal are stirring, to the point where I can’t just brush them off. Fingers crossed.

Temperance is Book 4 in the Defiance series–it’s one of the SE Jakes writing as Stephanie Tyler titles. It’s Declan and Rebel’s story that began in Book 3, so it’s an m/m romance with a small m/f subplot. If you’re just reading this book as a standalone, I’ve actually rewritten the ending of book 3 from Rebel and Declan’s point of view for both new readers and as a recap for the regular readers. And yes, the series will continue. Basically, I introduce this series as Sons of Anarchy meets the Apocalypse. And it’s New Adult. And I love Declan and Rebel.
It will be up at all the usual places–Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, iTunes, etc. I’m self-publishing this one, so even though I put it up twenty-four hours in advance, I have no control as to when it actual gets published, so I’ll update as the links become available. Thanks again for all your support this year. I haven’t forgotten about Prophet and Cillian (How could I? I mean, really?) I’m just trying to get to a place where I can do them justice. The books that are coming out now, as I’ve discussed before, were already in the works, so that makes it easier. I promise I will do my very best to make the books you’re waiting for worth the wait. Thanks for sticking by me 🙂
If you want to check out the first three books in the series, they’re here, along with blurbs and buy links.
TEMPERANCE: Book Four in The Defiance Series
The reluctant truce between the Defiance MC and Keller’s mafia is necessitated by shared hatred for the Lords of Vengeance—bloodthirsty thugs who pose a deadly threat to both Defiance’s survival and Keller’s people in the difficult post-apocalyptic world. For Rebel, this means more than just a secondary war—Declan, one of Keller’s main assassins, has moved to the Defiance compound.
The problem is, he and Declan have a history, one that Rebel broke off months earlier when the relationship threatened to become more than just covert sex. Rebel’s charged with keeping Declan close, and the proximity makes it impossible for him to deny his feelings. Rebel’s been hiding his sexual preferences from his MC, among other secrets he hold close.
But Rebel realizes that the LoV isn’t the biggest enemy Defiance faces when Declan goes after a mysterious group called the Nomads. Most think the Nomads are little more than a myth, but Declan—and Keller—know the truth. And when one of Declan’s jobs threatens to put Defiance—and Rebel—in direct danger, Declan also reveals secrets that Rebel isn’t prepared for. One that makes him question everything he once thought about the relationship…and forces him to make a choice between his heart and his head…something no one in Defiance is ready for.

Okay, so if you’ve read this post, you’ll know that Rule of Thirds is book 2 in the Mirror Series, which is a series of thrillers with romantic elements (read: HEAs). Mirror Me is an m/f and Rule of Thirds is an m/m, which is why it’s published under both the SEJ and Tyler names.
Confused yet? All you need to know is that every book in this series is completely stand-alone. And that Rule of Thirds is available for purchase at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, iTunes and more!
RULE OF THIRDS: Book 2 in the Mirror series
Jacoby Razwell has been a grifter, a vic and an FBI agent in WITSEC…He’s also the brother of a serial killer.
Jacoby Razwell comes from a family of gypsies, tramps and thieves…but when he discovers that his sister, Jessica, is a killer, he immediately tries to extricate himself from her. In retaliation, his sister leaves him badly scarred, words of warning carved into his body. He immediately runs to Special Agent Ward Thayer, the man in charge of the unsolved murders that Jacoby knows his sister is behind.
Ward takes him in and puts him under the FBI’s protection. But Jacoby wants more, and, after a year of cooperating with the FBI, he insists on entrance to the Academy. Jacoby completes the training at Quantico with flying colors, and soon he’s hunting Jessica—and other serial killers—next to Ward. They’ve become partners at work and partners at home…until Jessica finds a way to tear them apart.
Now, charged with protecting a witness who has his own dangerous secrets to hide, Jacoby and Ward must attempt to bring Jessica to justice at last, all the while knowing that this time they’ll have to run toward danger and put their lives—and their relationship—on the line.

So, this happened:
#flipflopscankill
In other news, my child is now taking THE BUS! This has saved my life. The moms on the block threw an intervention at the block party a couple of weeks ago for me. I mean, it wasn’t all that dramatic, more like, ‘why the hell are you driving him to school when the bus will DROP HIM OFF AT YOUR HOUSE?!’
I didn’t know that. And the bus stop is literally three houses down. There are several other kindergardeners on the bus, along with a fab monitor named Cathy who everyone in the neighborhood knows. But I was nervous at first, because he’s five. And it’s a looong day to begin with.
Day #1: Hug him tight. Watch the bus drive away as he doesn’t even look out the window to wave back and wonder if it would be weird for me to jump on top of the bus and ride with him to school.
Day #1 drop off: run into the street and almost get hit by the bus because I’m worried he’s not on the bus (he was)
A week into the process: My neighbor and I are so excited to wave goodbye to the bus and get our freedom that the bus driver laughs at us, because he knows this. By next week, we’ll be in her house having coffee before the bus drives away.
Anyway, thanks so much for all your comments – it’s so good to ‘see’ all of you! And thanks for the great comments I’m getting on Mirror Me (it’s definitely more thriller than romance than my other Tyler books, which is why I put it under Thrillers at Amazon :). I think you guys will enjoy Rule of Thirds with Jacoby and Ward (and I’m going to label it and any other Tyler mm’s as SE Jakes writing as Stephanie Tyler on the cover to avoid confusion):

(I refer to Tyler and SEJ in this post because I’m cross-posting 🙂
I’ve started and stopped this post a million times. But here goes: Lots of family shit = unhappy writer. And my muse doesn’t like things like constant phone calls and hospitals. I can write through a lot of things, but this particular brick wall I ran into (aka my mother)—it just didn’t work.
She’s getting…better. Ish. It’s a lot of complicated shit and a long road ahead. Coupled with the death of my dad last year, it’s just been a lot. I owe a lot of people a lot of books, readers and editors alike. And writing in general has been challenging. I couldn’t write on some of the stuff I was supposed to write on and then when I did write on things I was supposed to write on, there were issues (and yes, I’ll get into those at another time).
So here’s the deal—in order to get myself back on the horse, I started working on things that were the most far along in the process. It’s not a matter of doing more Tyler than SEJ things (which is what some readers have been writing to ask about)—it’s about balancing the two names.
Which means, as of today, you’ll start seeing the first book in the Mirror series, Mirror Me, up for purchase. It’s up at Amazon right now —and the blurb is below. (FYI it’s a Tyler book—it’s an m/f but book 2 in the series will be an m/m. Oh and each book is very much stand-alone.)
Kayla Peters hasn’t been Claire Cooper for six years…but the past is about to catch up with her, and nothing will ever be the same.
Kayla’s in witness protection, being hidden from her twin sister by the U.S. Marshals Office. When Kayla moves in next to a former Special Forces operative, she discovers that he’s got a dark, dangerous past of his own..and that he might be the only person who could help her survive.
Teige doesn’t want to like Kayla. Since the death of his CO and Teige’s retirement from Delta Force, he’d been taking on the most dangerous jobs, pressing the luck he feels had followed him his entire life. He’s convinced it’ll run out, because he knows no one can be that lucky all the time. And when he discovers who Kayla really is, and what kind of trouble’s following her, he realizes he’s up against the most dangerous—and personal—job of his career.
Next month, Rule of Thirds (book 2 in the series—the m/m) will be out, followed quickly by Temperance: Defiance Book 4 (also an m/m by Tyler).
Why this order of things? Well, I’ve been working on Mirror Me for a long time in between other projects and it was in the editing stages already, as was Temperance. I’m also almost done with Irreplaceable: Section 8 Book 4 (also Tyler) — no new date with NAL on that because I need to hand it in to get it on the schedule.
Also, I’m slowly working on If I Ever (Prophet 4) because that book deserves care, and I don’t want to rush it. But it’s close.
But again, I hesitated to write this post, because whenever I got close to ‘getting ready’ to publish or get back out here, there would be another setback. I mean, I’m literally looking over my shoulder (and glaring at the fucking phone, daring it to ring) as I type this. I’d tell someone, “Things are much better,” and then it would be like, literally, the next day, “Oh look, pneumonia! Medication issue! Stroke! ER visit for a fall! Lifeline is calling…again.”
So just…be kind. That’s all I ask. And most of you have been—the letters I’ve gotten have been awesome and I appreciate all your patience and your want of my books. I can’t promise I’ll be out there all that much, because I’d honestly rather given my time to the writing, and I think you all deserve that too, but who knows.
What I do know? My son started Kindergarden…and the drop off / pick up shit? It’s like the hunger games meets thunderdome. WTF? Pray for me…
